Despite of bad weather, more than 200 parents joined our Annual Parents and Teachers’ Lunch Gathering today. Heartfelt thanks to our Principal Mrs Ma, Deputy Principal Mr Lam, Assistant Principals Mrs Cheung, Mr Kan, Mrs Kwok and Mr So, and S1 and S2 class teachers for their support!

Parents' Talk “How to Communicate Effectively with Teenagers” (28 Sept, 2024)

We are honored to have invited Dr. Charles Yu, a prominent speaker in parenting, as our guest speaker for the “How to Communicate Effectively with Teenagers” Parents’ Talk held yesterday.
His insightful and inspirational talk resonated with over 150 parents who attended, leaving us all with valuable tools and strategies to enhance our communication with our teens.

Parent’s Mental Health Day Camp (23 Nov, 2024)

With the beautiful weather on our side, parents took a well-deserved break to focus on their well-being at the Parent’s Mental Health Day Camp organized by the SSCPTA today!
The day was filled with joy and creativity as participants enjoyed a fun-filled gardening therapy workshop, crafted unique pieces in the ceramic workshop, and found peace wandering through the labyrinths.
It was a wonderful opportunity for parents to relax, connect, and recharge.

Advent Wreath Making Workshop (25 Nov, 2024)

What a wonderful morning we had today at the Advent Wreath Making Workshop organized by the SSCPTA!
We were very grateful to Revd. Canon Dr. Lam Chun Wai for sharing the sacred meaning behind the Advent, enriching our experience with spiritual significance.
A heartfelt thank you to our guest instructor Ms May Luk from St Paul’s Church for the guidance in making the wreaths with fragrant fresh plants; and our Christian Parents’ Group’s parent volunteers for preparing the materials.
SSCPTA also crafted wreaths for our Chapel, our beloved school, and our loving Principal Mrs. Ma symbolizing hope, peace, joy, and love.
Parents joined the event feeling spiritually uplifted.
In Christian communities around the world, Advent refers to the four-week before Christmas, a season of remembering and celebrating the arrival of Jesus on Earth.

Lunar New Year Gifts Transfer Programme (22 Jan, 2025)

We're thrilled to announce that our Lunar New Year Gifts Transfer Programme in support of People's Good Bank of St James' Settlement was a tremendous success! Thanks to the generosity of our parents, we collected over 100 gifts to share with the families in need.
These gifts will bring joy and warmth to the recipients during the festive season, reminding us all of the spirit of giving and community.
 
Our heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed! Together, we are making a difference!

SSCPSPTA Dinner (22 Jan, 2025)

Thank you to the SSCPSPTA for inviting us to a wonderful dinner gathering with their Grade 5 and Grade 6 parents! It was a fantastic opportunity for our St Stephen’s community to come together.
We were delighted to have the presence of SSC Principal Mrs. Ma and Assistant Principal Mr. Kan, dedicated DSE and IB parents along with some of our SSCPTA Exco parents. Through an interactive and engaging Question and Answer session over the dinner, their insights and diverse experiences provided valuable perspectives to participating SSCPS parents on school life at SSC.
It was a great evening filled with meaningful conversations and fostered closer connections! We look forward to more collaborative events in the future.

 

Career Talk "Beyond the Horizon: Unlocking Opportunities in Future Education" (26 Jan, 2025)

 Our career talk “Beyond the Horizon: Unlocking Opportunities in Future Education” attracted a record attendance of over 350 parents and students!

A heartfelt thank you to our principal, Mrs. Julie Ma, for her unwavering support. We also appreciate the insights shared by our Assistant Principal and Career Master, Mr. Corwin Kan, regarding the study pathways of DSE vs. IBPD. Along with our SSC University Counsellors, Miss Celine Chan, Miss Chloe Wong, and Mr. Kelvin Chui, the team provided a comprehensive overview of various study options across Hong Kong, mainland China, the UK, the US, and Australia, as well as detailed guidance on preparing for university applications.
Last but not least, special thanks to Registered Social Workers at HKFYG, Mr. Rennie Wong and Miss Tiffany Wong, for equipping our students with practical strategies to discover their dream subjects.

Horticultural Therapy Workshop (22 Feb, 2025)

Over 50 parents and our teachers, Ms. Kit Wong and Mr. Calvin Wong, joined our Horticultural Therapy Workshop for an afternoon of self-care, learning and growth.
A special thank you to Rev. Canon Pang Pui Kong for inspiring us with his insights on positive thinking and gratitude in any circumstances, and reminding us that in quietness we find strength.
Participants not only created beautiful miniature gardens but also enjoyed mindfulness practices.
Through interaction with nature and mindfulness practice, we aim to remind everyone to live in the present moment, embrace self-care, stay calm and slow down to appreciate the beauty that life and nature bring us.

 

Family Day (2 March, 2025)

SSCPTA is honored to once again participate in the annual fun-filled large-scale SSC Family Day on 2nd March 2025 by hosting a game booth at the Central Square of our beautiful campus. Blessed with sunny weather, students, alumni, teachers, parents and relatives enjoyed our game, brought home lovely prizes as well as joyful memories. 

SSC S6 Cheerio Day (6 March, 2025)

Ice cream + cotton floss + popcorn + egg waffles = fun + friendship + fond memories!
SSCPTA is honored to be part of this very special occasion on 6th March 2025 to cheer for our S6 students who are enjoying their last school day on campus before the public exam. On behalf of parents, we would like to express our gratitude to principal Mrs Ma, all teachers and staff for all the hard work and guidance to our graduates. Special thanks to many parent volunteers for helping at our booths across the campus at Student Center, Centennial Building and Grand Hall to facilitate abundant supply of these hearty treats throughout the day.
Best wishes to our S6 students! 搏盡無悔!

 

Dinner Lecture (8 March, 2025)

 The Parent-Teacher Association is very honored to invite Dr. Lee to give us a dinner lecture tonight. We have more than 50 teachers, parents and students attending. Dr. Lee has enabled us to have a deeper understanding of the characteristics of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the characteristics of the talents needed for the future development of the Bay Area, especially compound talents. The speakers also gave some directional suggestions on how to cultivate a new generation of talents in Hong Kong, such as: open attitude, insights, expressiveness, and cooperation with others (common skills); future business development trends: super-large or micro-enterprises are more able to break through limitations and have better development space, etc. The speaker's views are clear and easy to understand, and are supported by systematic data. In addition to enjoying a delicious dinner, the participants were also inspired to think about the future development direction of Hong Kong youth and benefited a lot.

Shenzhen visit (30 March, 2025)

St. Stephen's College Parent-Teacher Association travels outside Hong Kong for the first time!
Thanks to the Shenzhen Science Popularization Education Base Federation for its assistance in arranging the event, the Parent-Teacher Association held a one-day tour of Shenzhen yesterday, with over a hundred teachers, students and parents actively participating!
In the morning, we wandered around Gankeng Ancient Town, which has rich cultural heritage and natural landscapes. We visited the artillery tower and exhibition hall, experienced traditional handicrafts such as carpentry chopstick making, sachet making and lacquer fan dyeing, and tasted many delicious local snacks.
At noon, in addition to tasting delicious Hakka food, we also held a lucky draw with rich prizes!
In the afternoon, we visited China Unicom's Digital Innovation Experience Center to gain an in-depth understanding of the functions and applications of 5G technology in daily life. We also experienced driverless cars, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) games in the interactive experience area to experience the immersive experience brought by cutting-edge technology.
Special thanks to Principal Ma Li Minhui, Vice Principal Lin Ruohai, Vice Principal Huang Zhiwei, Assistant Principal Su Junjie, Assistant Principal Wu Biyun, Assistant Principal Guo Peizhen, Assistant Principal Yin Xueyan, Teacher Huang Jie, Teacher Weng Zhairen, Teacher Rong Wenhui, Teacher Zhang Tinglin and Teacher Wu Yujuan who participated in this event!
Every member of the group enjoyed a fulfilling and enjoyable weekend! 

Workshop (12 April, 2025)

Today, SSCPTA had the pleasure of hosting a transformative Mindful Parenting Workshop led by Coach Ms. Jenny Chan, a Registered Clinical Psychologist.
Parents explored valuable insights from both clinical and developmental psychology, focusing on enhancing secure and loving relationships with their children. Through mindfulness practices and experiential exercises, participants learned how to integrate these concepts into their daily interactions, fostering parenting rooted in acceptance and compassion.
This workshop was not just about psychological theories, it was about cultivating positive parent-child connections and equipping our children with essential skills to navigate conflicts, relationships, and social situations as they grow.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a success! Special thanks to teachers Miss Fion Yung and Mr Wong Chi Man for coming to support us. Together, we’re building a nurturing and supportive community.
